Kathy E. Graf, DVM, DACVIM - Small Animal Internal Medicine
Dr. Kathy Graf grew up in rural central Iowa. She attended Iowa State University and received her Animal Science degree in 1997. She was accepted into the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated from in 2000. Dr. Graf then completed a one-year rotating small animal internship at Alameda East Veterinary Hospital in Denver, CO. That was an exciting year, as it was an extremely busy hospital and the site of Animal Planet’s Emergency Vets television show. Following the internship, Dr. Graf moved to Stillwater, OK, for a three-year residency in small animal internal medicine. It was at Oklahoma State where she became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and where she met her husband. She and her husband, Tristan Graf (also a veterinarian), moved to Boise, ID, where they practiced for two years. Dr. Graf now works at a private practice emergency and specialty center in Cedar Rapids, IA. When she is not working, Dr. Graf enjoys outdoor activities, particularly running, biking, gardening and camping.
